We understand that most people will be feeling somewhat nervous before attending this event, and we encourage you to step outside of your comfort zone and try it anyway. The fear is always bigger in our minds than the reality! Overcoming the nerves and attending brings a rewarding feeling and many benefits; like gaining confidence, and social skills, as well as the prospect of meeting someone for you. We endeavour to help people feel as comfortable as possible with a warm welcome. Plus refreshing bar drinks are always available for those needing that bit of dutch courage.

Depending on the venue size and attendance on the night, we aim for a minimum of 8 mini dates per person, and a maximum of 15. Each one is around 5 minutes long. At the sound of the ringing bell gentlemen switch seats to the next table with a lady sat at each one. Chat away and see if there's a connection. As you date each person, fill out your matchcard and indicate whether you'd like to see them again, along with any handy notes. The completed matchcard is given to the host at the end, and you will receive your match results the next day. 

This decision is left to your own discernment, and can vary at each event. 

Example a 30 plus speed dating usually has a mix of singles in their 30s and 40s with a minority of early 50s (unless we have capped the age range e.g; 35 to 55)

We recommend not to get too hung up over the ages and focus more on connection, everyone is different. If you’re unsure ask us, or try different age groups!

Yes, yes, yes! We are thrilled to share, we hear about these occasionally. Long term loving relationships have formed, and our first couple to get married is this year 2026!  People make new friends all the time and attending our singles events has changed their lives!

All are welcome to attend who are living permanently in Cornwall. Our new location in Saltash also welcomes those in Plymouth, just over the bridge.

Anything you wish, and we encourage you to be your authentic self, honest and open! As long as it's mutual topics and appropriate! Most people want to know the area you live, your job, your hobbies and interests, and find that that is enough to get the ball rolling until time is up. (The time does go really fast so make the most of it). We also provide some fun casual conversation starters on the tables, for other ideas, should you need them.

We believe five minutes is long enough to indicate whether you are interested or not. 

We recommend if you are unsure and need more time, chatting to that person during breaks or tick 'yes' on your matchcard anyway. If it's mutual, get to know eachother outside of speed dating and see how it goes. 

Ironically five minutes might seem too long if you're not interested during the speed date. On the plus side you never know what can come of it, learning something new, making a friend or perhaps networking, you never know.  

If for any reason you need to cancel your booking, please inform us immediately. Our speed dating night's rely on an even number of male/female attendees and the seating to be at full capacity in order to give everyone the maximum opportunity to find a match. Full refunds are given with ten or more days notice before the event date (minus a £2.50 admin fee).  Tickets are non-exchangeable or refundable with less than ten days notice given to us by the attendee.
